Tap shoes come in a full sole for stability or a split sole for flexibility. Grand Jeté carries both options for adults, while kids' tap shoes are only full sole. Advanced tap shoes have stacked heels/soles and high quality steel plates for sound quality. For dancers needing a heeled tap shoe, we stock character shoes that fit taps, which are sold separately and can be attached yourself or by a cobbler.

Grand Jeté stocks jazz shoes in both pull-on or lace-up, in a range of sizes from kids to adults. For theater, there are a variety of dance shoes that can be worn for both rehearsals and performances. Depending on the role, performers may wear a low leather jazz shoe, a heeled character shoe, or a leather oxford. Check with your director for any requirements. Dance sneakers are also a popular choice for a jazz/hip hop class or theater rehearsals.
